Marques de Murrieta, one of Rioja's oldest estates, is recognized for classic-style wines that beautifully balance fruit, structure, and oak aging.

Marqués de Murrieta, one of Rioja's foundational estates operating since 1852, produces primarily Tempranillo-based wines from their 300-hectare Ygay Estate in Rioja Alta, where 40-year-old vines grow in diverse microclimates across calcareous clay soils. The estate maintains complete control from vineyard to bottle with self-imposed low yields, extended oak aging that exceeds regional requirements, and a balance of traditional methods with modern precision that continues the pioneering legacy established by founder Luciano de Murrieta.
