Rockford, located in Barossa Valley, Australia, is famed for its Basket Press Shiraz, a wine that has become synonymous with the region's rich winemaking tradition.

Rockford Wines is a deliberately small-scale, fiercely independent producer operating from restored 1850s stone buildings in Barossa Valley's Krondorf settlement, focusing on traditional varieties like Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro sourced from old-vine parcels on the western ridge and northern areas. Founded by Robert O'Callaghan in 1984, the winery preserves Barossa's winemaking heritage through traditional methods including open concrete fermenters, an 1880s basket press, and gravity-flow systems that minimize intervention while showcasing the region's distinctive character.
